April Anthony , , , Chief Executive Officer, Encompass Home Health and Hospice

April Anthony founded Encompass in 1998 as her second successful home health venture. In less than a decade, she has led Encompass’ expansion from a single start-up location to a provider with more than forty home health care branches. Anthony was also critically involved in the design and development of the company’s unique automation software, helping Encompass lead the way in home health technology. She graduated from Abilene Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She is a certified public accountant and began her career at Price Waterhouse. Anthony moved into the home care industry in 1992 and soon became the owner and CEO of Liberty Health Services. She was the recipient of Ernst & Young’s prestigious 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year award based on her creative and innovative approach to home health care.

Frank Brown , , , President, Southwest region

Frank Brown is president of the Southwest region. In this role, Brown oversees operations for more than 25 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. Brown brings 30 years of healthcare experience and has both a clinical and administrative healthcare background. A graduate of the University of the Tennessee College of Pharmacy, Brown is licensed as a Doctor of Pharmacy in Tennessee and a registered pharmacist in Texas. During his career he has worked in a wide range of healthcare settings including healthcare services, outpatient, home care and acute care. Prior to joining HealthSouth, Brown served for 11 years as a senior executive with the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston, TX, where he held several positions including chief executive officer of the Post Acute Care Cos., chief service line officer and chief integration officer.

Crissy Carlisle , , , Chief Investor Relations Officer

Crissy Carlisle was appointed as chief investor relations officer in September 2015. She joined HealthSouth in February 2005 as the director of SEC reporting and was quickly promoted to vice president of financial reporting in August 2005. Carlisle received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama and her master’s in business administration from Duke University. Prior to joining HealthSouth, Carlisle served as a director within the corporate recovery division of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and additionally as a manager within their audit practice. She brings more than 20 years of financial advisory and accounting experience to the role of chief investor relations officer.

Elissa Charbonneau, D.O. , , , Chief Medical Officer

Lisa Charbonneau, D.O., M.S., was appointed to chief medical officer in June 2015. Prior to that role, she served as the company’s vice president of medical services. From 2001 to early 2015, she served as medical director at New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland, a joint venture of Maine Medical Center and HealthSouth, where she held a staff physician position at the hospital since 1992. She has served on numerous committees at Maine Medical Center as well as HealthSouth’s physician advisory board. In 2012, she was named HealthSouth’s Medical Director of the Year for her outstanding clinical knowledge, exemplary performance in the development of quality clinical programs and overall excellence in leadership. Dr. Charbonneau received her doctor of osteopathic medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, a master’s degree in natural sciences/epidemiology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and of the American Osteopathic Board of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Troy DeDecker , , , President, Central Region

Troy DeDecker is president of the central region. DeDecker joined HealthSouth in January 2013 as the chief executive officer of HealthSouth MidAmerica Rehabilitation Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas. Prior to his career at HealthSouth, he served as chief executive officer at HMA-Bartow Regional Medical Center and in a number of operations and clinical leadership roles for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). DeDecker achieved an undergraduate degree in physical therapy from the University of North Florida and a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and a board member for the University of Kansas Health Policy Management Advisory Board.

Julie Duck , , , Senior Vice President, Financial Operations

Julie Duck was named Senior Vice President, Financial Operations, in February 2013. She has been with HealthSouth since December 1996 holding key positions in Financial Operations as well as Accounting. In her role as SVP, Financial Operations, Duck is responsible for all business office and patient accounting related functions, establishing the process for operating and capital budgets, as well as the project management application for strategic initiatives involving hospital standardization and best practice adoption. Duck holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration both from Troy University.

Edmund Fay , , , Senior Vice President, Treasurer

Ed Fay joined HealthSouth in 2008 as senior vice president and treasurer. Fay has more than 15 years of experience in financial services specializing in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, bank treasury management, fixed income and capital markets products. Prior to joining HealthSouth, he served in various positions at Regions Financial Corp., including executive vice president of Strategic Planning/Mergers and Acquisitions, senior vice president and senior treasury officer. He also has held vice president positions at Wachovia Corp. for asset and liability management and at J.P. Morgan & Co., Inc. for global treasury and capital management. Fay received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Fordham University and a master's degree in business administration from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Jerry Gray , , , President, West region

Jerry Gray is president of the West region where he is responsible for the operations of more than 15 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals encompassing six states. He has also served as director of operations and chief executive officer for HealthSouth Rehabilitation of Memphis. Gray completed his undergraduate degree in nursing at the University of Oklahoma and earned a graduate degree in health administration from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Justin Hunter , , , Senior Vice President, Public Policy, Legislation and Regulations

Justin Hunter is senior vice president, public policy, legislation and regulations. Hunter is based in Washington, D.C., and represents the company before Congress and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Prior to joining HealthSouth in 2004, Hunter practiced law in the Washington, D.C., firm of Powers, Pyles, Sutter, and Verville, where he was engaged in a healthcare practice involving a range of legal, regulatory, and legislative issues. Hunter previously worked on Capitol Hill for former Congressman Ed Bryant (R-TN), and has worked in and managed a number of grassroots and political campaigns. He also served as a legal clerk for Memphis, Tennessee - based Methodist HealthCare during law school. Hunter earned a bachelor's degree in political science in 1992 from Mississippi State University and a law degree from The University of Memphis in 2000. A native Missourian, Hunter and his wife Caroline reside in Washington, D.C with their two daughters.

David Klementz , , , Chief Planning and Development Officer

David Klementz joined HealthSouth as senior vice president of operations in September 2005. Prior to joining HealthSouth, Klementz served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Progress Rail, a $1.3 billion rail services business, where he was responsible for strategic and business planning, financial performance and leadership of the company's financial, accounting and information technology functions. He has also held the position of manager of business development and planning for Progress Energy, vice president of finance and accounting for Analytical Sciences, Inc., and division controller for the Oracle Corp. A certified public accountant, Klementz received his bachelor's degree in finance from James Madison University, his certification in procurement and contract administration from the University of Virginia, and completed Duke University's Fuqua School of Business' Leadership Development Program.

Cheryl Levy , , , Chief Human Resources Officer

Cheryl Levy joined HealthSouth in March 2007. Prior to that, she was the national director, human resources/recruiting, for KPMG, where she managed recruiting for the accounting firm as well as advised clients in such diverse areas as recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, development and employee relations. Prior to joining KPMG she held senior executive human resources positions at several health services companies including Preferred Care, a large skilled nursing facility company in Texas. Levy received her bachelor's degree in business from the University of Alabama. She is a member of the National Association and Birmingham Chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management. Levy manages organizational development, employee and labor relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, communications and creative services.

Peter Mantegazza , , , President, Northeast region

Peter Mantegazza was named president of the Northeast region in June 2008. In this role, he oversees operations for HealthSouth hospitals in the states of Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Delaware. Having worked in rehabilitation management for 37 years, Mantegazza has held numerous senior management positions at HealthSouth throughout his 20 year tenure with the Company. He most recently served as chief executive officer at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture between HealthSouth and the University of Massachusetts. Mantegazza received a master's degree in health care administration from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine City University of New York and is an active leader in healthcare in the Northeast.

Ed Mowen , , , President, MidAtlantic Region

Ed Mowen is president of the MidAtlantic Region. In this role, he oversees operational responsibility for more than 15 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals located in South Carolina, Maryland, North Carolina, parts of Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Mowen joined HealthSouth in 2005 as a regional controller. Prior to his career at HealthSouth, he was vice president of operations for the Women’s Health division at Matria Healthcare, and worked with Promina Northwest and Promina Paulding as controller and CFO. Mowen holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa.

Sandy Murvin , , , Deputy General Counsel

Sandy Murvin is deputy general counsel at HealthSouth. She joined HealthSouth's legal services department in October 2007. Prior to joining HealthSouth, Sandy served as vice president – administration and general counsel for a privately held Internet, telecom and healthcare applications service provider in Virginia, and earlier in her career she held various positions with Sonat Inc., a Fortune 500 Company in Birmingham, Alabama. Murvin has more than 25 years of experience representing public and private companies in general corporate, transactional and regulatory matters. She is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. Murvin is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and received her J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law.

Andy Price , , , Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer

Andy Price was named chief accounting officer in October 2009. He joined HealthSouth in June 2004 as vice president of operations accounting. From 1996 through 2004, Price served as senior vice president and corporate controller of Centennial HealthCare Corp., an Atlanta-based operator of skilled nursing centers and home health agencies. Prior to 1996, he was an audit manager with BDO Seidman in Atlanta. Price received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Florida State University and is a certified public accountant.

Dawn Rock , , , Chief Compliance Officer

Dawn joined HealthSouth in July 2015. Prior to joining HealthSouth, Rock served as Vice President, Regional Compliance for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia, Inc. Her leadership experience also includes serving as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Compliance for Centene Corporation/Peach State Health Plan, Inc. Rock holds a juris doctor and certification in health law from the University of Maryland School of Law and a bachelor's degree in social work from University of Maryland Baltimore County. She is certified in health care compliance and health care privacy compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). In addition to HCCA, Dawn is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association.

Dean Taggart , , , Inspector General, Internal Audit and Controls

Dean Taggart joined HealthSouth in 2006 as Vice President of Internal Controls and became Vice President of Internal Audit and Controls in 2008 when the two departments combined. He has more than 25 years of combined internal audit, controls and financial management experience. Taggart came to HealthSouth from Verizon Business/MCI, Inc., a leading provider of data and internet services, where he served as Director of Internal Audit. Prior to that, he served in accounting and auditing leadership roles at various public accounting firms and public and private companies, including KPMG, KLLM Transport Services and Deposit Guaranty Corp. Taggart received his bachelor's in business administration from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi.

Linda Wilder is president of the Southeast region. In this role, she oversees operations for more than 20 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Puerto Rico. She has 30 years of clinical and administrative experience ranging from patient support to regional operations including development of new business lines in diversified organizations for university, not-for-profit and proprietary facilities. Wilder joined HealthSouth in 1994 as an assistant administrator. She has also served as an administrator, regional director of operations, area manager, regional vice president and vice president. Prior to joining HealthSouth, Wilder was administrative director of Patient Services for ReLife Corp. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and a master's degree in business administration.

Art Wilson , , , Chief Real Estate Officer

Art Wilson is the chief real estate officer. During his 34-year career, he spent 13 years auditing, specializing in the healthcare and insurance industries. He worked with Ernst and Ernst in Detroit and Louisville, Kentucky; and conducted auditing for Coopers and Lybrand of Tampa, Florida, and Miami. Real estate executive positions included vice president of real estate, Risk Management Insurance Contracts and CAPEX for OrNda Healthcare in Nashville, Tennessee; senior vice president of real estate for Mariner Post-Acute Network in Atlanta; and president of Paramount Real Estate in West Palm Beach, Florida. Wilson received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1971.

Rob Wisner , , , Senior Vice President, Reimbursement

Rob Wisner was named senior vice president, reimbursement in November 2003. From 1992 to Oct. 31, 2003, Wisner served in various senior management positions with Integrated Health Services, a leading provider of post-acute care services in Baltimore. From 1988 to 1992, he served as a senior team leader with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland, a Medicare fiscal intermediary. Wisner worked for the accounting firm, Clifton, Gunderson & Co., from 1986 to 1988. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting. During his career, he has also served on several healthcare association payment committees and boards.

Rusty Yeager , , , Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Rusty Yeager has more than 20 years of healthcare information technology experience and over 10 years of increasing responsibilities in information technology leadership at HealthSouth. Additionally, he served as a medical service corps officer specializing in healthcare information technology in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Yeager holds a master's of business administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT's Sloan School of Management. Yeager has been named as one of CIO magazine's "Ones to Watch" and HealthSouth's Information Technology Group was recently named to the magazine's "Top 100" list for the implementation of its Beacon business intelligence and reporting system. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and is a senior member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
